After being with United since 2001, he has impressed the coaches with his aggression and tigerish work in midfield. Not afraid to mix it with more physical opponents, he adapted quickly to Academy football last season and earned a dream promotion to the Reserves, playing alongside Anderson at Altrincham's Moss Lane. Also tried at full-back, he is most at home in the centre of midfield and managed 18 appearances in 2011/2012 (14 starts plus four substitute cameos). Showing a flair for getting forward, he was amongst the goals at the 2011 Milk Cup and notched four strikes during the campaign as a whole.

Dutch-born winger who is the son of former Huddersfield Town star Dean Gorre. After joining United back in 2002 as a schoolboy, he has impressed with his work on the flanks and become a part of Paul McGuinness' squad for the 2011/2012 season. Clearly a talented individual, he is able to work his magic on either flank and likes to run at defenders. A brilliant strike against Wolves in February opened his account for the Reds at Under-18 level and emerged as a contender for MUTV's Goal of the Month competition. All in all, he made nearly as many substitute appearances (seven) as starts (eight) but he will look to pin down a starting spot in the 2012/2013 term. A brief outing in the Reserves towards the end of the season showed he is held in high regard.

Int Honours: England u19

Larnell Cole is an attacking midfielder, primarily right-sided, but able to adapt to a number of different positions. Although the Manchester-born youngster is of sleight build, he is skilful, quick and capable of making an impact on the game. He is a team player with qualities to make an individual difference in matches. Cole, no relation to former United striker Andy, has repaid the coaches' faith in his ability by gaining in strength and confidence as he works his way through the ranks and was short-listed for the Reserves' Player of the Year award. There were a lot of proud people at Carrington when he was awarded his first England call-up at any level - for the Under-19s in August, 2011 - and Warren Joyce has been pleased with the way he has knuckled down to learning his trade, even playing at full-back to iron out any deficiencies in the defensive side of his game. A first-team debut, in the Carling Cup victory at Leeds, was just reward for his progression and dedication to the cause and he will hope for more opportunities to impress after suffering a couple of injury lay-offs.
